Barnum & Bailey Circus as well as the May 3, 1992 NBA Western Conference playoff game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Utah Jazz that attracted a sell-out crowd of 7,500.
In 1984, the wrestling competitions of the Games of the XXIIIrd Olympiad were held at the Arena, drawing 105,380 spectators over the 10 days of competition to watch 286 wrestlers from 40 countries in action. The Arena was the proposed secondary venue for basketball in the Los Angeles bid for the 2012 Olympic Games.
