Sports Economic Impact Study Highlights Day 1 of Inaugural LA Sports Summit
The inaugural LA Sports Summit (June 24-25) is designed to examine the world of sport in the number one sports city in the world -- Los Angeles!
The day-and-a-half conference, packed with 14 panel and interview sessions, will engage thought leaders, dealmakers, industry stakeholders and athletes on innovation, trends, leadership, and the business of sport in the region and beyond.
The cornerstone of the Summit is the release of an Economic Impact Analysis of the Sports Industry in the Greater Los Angeles Region.
The independent study was conducted by the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) and is the most comprehensive economic impact study ever undertaken on the sports industry in Los Angeles.
The findings will be announced on the first day of the Summit and introduced by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
The Los Angeles Sports Council, in conjunction with the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games (SCCOG), is presenting the conference -- the first of its type in Los Angeles.
