About Shepard Stadium

Perhaps best known as the one-time site of a home game for the Los Angeles Express of the U.S. Football League in 1984, Shepard Stadium is a horseshoe-shaped bowl and includes a fieldhouse on the open end of the facility. The college itself was established in 1947.

The basics:
The bleacher seating is quite steep with 3,000 aluminum bench seats on the north side and 2,500 on the south side. The natural grass field is surrounded by an eight-lane track.

Location and parking:
Pierce College is located in Woodland Hills in the San Fernando Valley. It is accessed from the Ventura (134) Freeway via the Winnetka Avenue exit. The school is at Winnetka Avenue and Calvert Street.

Management:

Technical information:
The field is natural grass and is lit for night play. There are locker rooms for the home and visiting teams and for officials in the adjacent fieldhouse. There is also a press box with room for 25 atop the north grandstand.

Spectator amenities include nearly 1,000 parking spaces on campus, a ticket office with two windows, three permanent concession stands and an electronic scoreboard decorated in Brahma red!
