About The StubHub Center
The StubHub Center is a 125-acre, $150 million development in Carson, featuring state-of-the-art stadiums and facilities for soccer, tennis, track & field, cycling, lacrosse, rugby, volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball and other sports. Designated as an "Official U.S. Olympic Training Site," The StubHub Center is the nation's most complete training facility for Olympic, amateur and professional athletes.
Created around a 27,000-seat soccer stadium, 8,000-seat tennis stadium, 8,000-seat track & field facility and a 2,450-seat indoor velodrome - The StubHub Center Velodrome - the complex is located on the campus of California State University, Dominquez Hills. The StubHub Center is home to two Major League Soccer (MLS) teams, the Los Angeles Galaxy and Chivas USA. In addition, the site is the U.S. Soccer Federation's (USSF) national team training headquarters and the location of the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) USA High Performance National Training Center. The development is also designated as an official training site for USA Cycling and USA Track & Field.
Since opening on June 1, 2003, with the Inaugural Home Depot Track & Field Invitational, The StubHub Center has hosted some of the finest national and international competitions in the world. In the facilities first year of operation, it hosted the 2003 MLS All-Star game, 2003 MLS Cup game and the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup championship match. Since then, The StubHub Center has hosted major soccer tournaments and matches, including the qualifying for the prestigious Copa Libertadores- InterLiga, SuperLiga, CONCACAF Men's & Women's Gold Cup matches, the World Series of Football and the annual Honda Super Clasico, featuring Los Angeles' inner-city rivalry, the Los Angeles Galaxy versus Chivas USA. Tennis events at The Stub Hub Center include the annual East West Bank Classic tennis tournament, a Tier II Sony Ericsson WTA tour stop since 2004, showcasing tennis' most elite female athletes. The StubHub Center Velodrome hosted the UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics 2005-2007, and, in 2005, hosted the World Championships. Across three disciplines (soccer, tennis, track cycling), more than 45 U.S. athletes who competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics trained at The StubHub Cetner in preparation for the Games.
The StubHub Center's commitment to athletics and training also extends to the surrounding communities. Tennis courts, soccer training fields and a three-mile jogging trail with 12 fitness stations around the permieter of the development is available to local residents as well as other facilities and amenities. Through foundations established by AEG-operated entities such as the Galaxy, the Los Angeles Kings (NHL) and STAPLES Center, more than $5 million has been pledged to community organizations in the last seven years, including new donations targeting the local Carson community established by The StubHub Center Charitable Foundation.
The StubHub Center is southern California's legacy to sports, building character through competition.

• Location and parking:
The StubHub Center is located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) in Carson, California where the 110, 91 and 405 freeways meet, centrally located between Los Angeles International Airport, Downtown Los Angeles, the South Bay and Long Beach. The facility offers more than 4,500 parking spaces, plus an additional 4,000 CSUDH-shared parking spaces for a total of 8,500 spaces.
• Additional Information:
The StubHub Center spans 125 acres and the floor of the soccer stadium measures 100 yards in width by 150 yards in length. The soccer stadium has a partial roof lining the perimeter of the stadium, similar to European soccer stadiums, made of Teflon-coated fiberglass. Load-in is accommodated through a floor-level dockway. There is also a 50,000-sq. ft. marshalling area for event production and a dock area for television production vehicles.
There are a total of 10 locker and dressing rooms, including team-specific locker rooms for the Galaxy, Chivas USA and USSF. In addition, there is a 3,000-sq. ft. weight room, two training rooms, two player lounges, a commissary, laundry facilities, press facilities, storage and office space.
In the soccer stadium, there are 1,500 Club Seats and two tiers of suites - 42 in all. In addition, there are six event suites available for purchase on an event-by-event basis. The tennis stadium has 19 luxury suites. There are extensive hospitality facilities, including the exclusive American Express Stadium Club restaurant overlooking the soccer stadium, located in the north end zone. The Stadium Club seats 300 indoors and 150 people outdoors, on both the East and West Terraces. The Stadium Club is open to suite ticket- and club seat-holders during events.
Spectator amenities include two full-service box offices (located at the Southwest and Northwest entrances), 160 television monitors throughout the facility and 17 permanent refreshment stands spread among the main concourse, between the soccer and tennis stadiums. Event presentation at The StubHub Center is complimented by a $1.5 million sound system, $2 million specialty lighting package and a 23-ft. by 28-ft., $2 million video board.
The StubHub Center is the only stadium in the United States that uses LED field boards, only seen in Europe today. The LED boards measure 600 ft. in length.
For concerts and other events not using the grass field, a Terrafloor field protection system is used.
