About Titan Stadium

Opened in 1992 as the home of Cal State Fullerton's now-defunct football program (which played its last season in 1992), Titan Stadium now hosts the university's men's and women's soccer program. Built on the temporary home of the Fullerton football team (which played from 1970-92), it has served as a popular home for soccer on the collegiate, national and international level. It opened with Fullerton's commencement exercises in 1992 and was the host of the 1993 American Professional Soccer League (APSL) championship game. The stadium record attendance of 12,000 was set in 1996 for a closed-circuit broadcast of the Oscar De La Hoya vs. Julio Cesar Chavez title fight.

•The basics:
The field is natural grass (230 by 360 feet) and is lit for night play with a metal-halide lighting system. The facility has 10,000 seats, most of which have bench seats with backs, but with a few chair backs with arms

•Location and parking:
Titan Stadium is located on West Campus Drive on the north side of the campus. It can be accessed from the Orange (57) Freeway via the Yorba Linda Boulevard or Nutwood Avenue exit.

•Management:
The facility is managed by the university. Inquiries concerning facility use should be directed to event manager Ron Andres at (714) 278-2777 or by fax at (714) 278-5396.

•Technical information:
The facility is part of the Titan Sports Complex, which provides locker room and support facilities for Titan Stadium. There is a press box at the top of the west side grandstands (capacity 75) serviced by an elevator. Spectator facilities include more than 7,000 parking spaces adjacent to the site, three ticket booths, two permanent concession stands and a combined message board and scoreboard.
